2020 Josh Sain Scholarship Recipients

The National Order of the Arrow Committee is pleased to announce the 2020 recipients of the Josh Sain Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 1998 to honor the spirit and the memory of Josh Sain, a former national vice chief of the Order of the Arrow. This scholarship is provided to immediate past national officers and immediate past section chiefs. All awards are selected on merit and based on performance in their respective roles and academic achievements while serving in their role. This year the following individuals have been selected:

Zachary A. Schonfeld, a member of Amangamek-Wipit Lodge, National Capital Area Council #82, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Zach previously served as the national chief of the Order of the Arrow. Currently, he is a junior majoring in political communication at George Washington University.

Noah J. Smith, a member of Quapaw Lodge, Quapaw Area Council #18, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. Noah previously served as the national vice chief of the Order of the Arrow. Currently, he is a sophomore majoring in business management at the University of Central Arkansas.

Patrick J. McInerney, a member of Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Lodge, Northeast Illinois Council #129, headquartered in Vernon Hills, Illinois. Patrick previously served as the Central Region chief of the Order of the Arrow. Currently, he is a junior majoring in mechanical engineering and engineering management at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Gavin J. Cho, a member of Spe-Le-Yai Lodge, Verdugo Hills Council #58, headquartered in Glendale, California. Gavin previously served as the Western Region chief of the Order of the Arrow. Currently, he is a sophomore majoring in public policy at the University of California, Riverside.
